The Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night in a Week 7 NFC East matchup that arrives with plenty of injury trouble and not much momentum for either side. Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Dallas is favored by 4.5 points at DraftKings Sportsbook, and the total is set at 44.5 points. Both teams are 2-4, a surprising parity given how differently their seasons have unfolded in terms of health.

Philadelphia has lost quarterback Jalen Hurts for the rest of the season. The situation has been rough enough that Andy Dalton, who was cut by the team a few weeks ago, turned down a chance to re-sign. That leaves Tanner McKee to lead the offense. Running back Saquon Barkley may return, though the team has not confirmed it. Sportsbook player prop numbers suggest he is expected to play.

Dallas has stayed healthy but has not been convincing. The offense has shown flashes, yet it struggled badly at home in prime time against the Packers last week. The defense has been poor again, and the run defense in particular has been described as horrendous.

CBS Sports' expert picks the Eagles to cover the 4.5 points. The reasoning is that the spread is a bit too large for a team with a strong defense playing a division rival that has underperformed. The expert expects a low-scoring game and says Philadelphia only needs to string together a few drives to threaten an upset.

In the player prop market, the expert likes Eagles backup running back Dameon Pierce to go over 15.5 rushing yards at -112 on DraftKings. Pierce played well as the starter last week, and a modest workload against the Dallas run defense could be enough. The expert notes he could reach the number on a single carry and would feel good about it with five to 10 carries.

For Dallas, the pick is CeeDee Lamb to top 78.5 receiving yards at -113 on FanDuel, a figure lower than at other books. The Eagles' pass defense is banged up, and Lamb had a huge game against the Texans a few weeks ago. He has been quiet in back-to-back Cowboys losses, but the expert argues Dallas needs him involved to win.

The expert also offers two anytime touchdown plays. Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is listed at +255 on DraftKings. He has three touchdowns this season and remains a red-zone threat despite modest usage. Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is at +180. The expert calls him the best weapon in Philadelphia's passing game, a reliable short-yardage target and an elite red-zone option, especially if Dallas crowds the box near the goal line and forces McKee to throw.
