The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 on Monday night, securing a 3-0 lead in the World Series. Robert Gasser started the game and delivered a strong performance, anchoring an offensive explosion that overwhelmed the visiting team. The result places the Brewers one win away from the first championship in franchise history. They can clinch the title as early as Tuesday night in Game 4.

The series began with close contests for the first two games. Milwaukee won Game 1 on Friday, Oct. 23, by a score of 3-2. The following day, on Saturday, Oct. 24, the Brewers took Game 2, 5-4. Monday’s rout in Game 3 changed the dynamic of the series, ending any realistic hope for Tampa Bay to stay alive in the series.

Tampa Bay earned its spot in the World Series by defeating the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Championship Series. The Rays won the ALCS 4-2, closing the series in Game 6 on Monday, Oct. 19. Junior Caminero hit a home run that proved decisive in that final game. This marks the third World Series appearance in franchise history and the first since 2020. The team previously lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008.

The Brewers reached the Series by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. Milwaukee won that series 4-0, with the final game taking place on Wednesday, Oct. 14. The team has not appeared in a World Series since 1982. Neither franchise has ever won a World Series, meaning the upcoming games will determine the first champion in the history of both clubs.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The game will be played in Tampa Bay. Fox and Fox Deportes will broadcast the matchup, and it will also be available on fubo. If the series extends, Game 5 is set for Wednesday, Oct. 28, also at 8 p.m. Eastern in Tampa Bay.

Should the Rays force additional games, Game 6 will take place on Friday, Oct. 30, in Milwaukee. Game 7, if needed, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, also in Milwaukee. All remaining games are set for 8 p.m. Eastern time. The broadcast details remain consistent across the network for the rest of the series.

The full playoff bracket for the 2026 season includes results from the Wild Card round and Division Series that preceded the Championship Series. The White Sox lost to the Guardians in the ALDS, while the Yankees were eliminated by the Rays. In the National League, the Braves lost to the Dodgers, and the Cubs were eliminated by the Padres. These earlier rounds set the stage for the current World Series matchup.
